Alternative energy

Most humans have some historical knowledge. Early man lived in trees or caves. Energy needed was generated by human power. Humans ate existing plants or fruit from trees to exist. Those who lived in groups realized that they could kill animals for food. Citizen cut up the hunted animals and removed the skin for clothing.

As civilization advanced, Citizen understood how to grow plants for food. Eventually, the best plant seeds were collected and then cultivated after stripping the earth of other vegetation. Humans then discovered how take care of the ground and harvest the plants. It took generations to learn how to farm the varied plant foods. Citizen found out about grist seeds and removing the shells of eatable food. Many of the food production tasks were difficult and physically demanding. Slave labor developed.

Alternative Energy

As civilization advanced, water and wind power were discovered as primary resources of energy in the growing and harvesting of food. The use of water and wind also increased the production of food and often made it easier to eat. The world developed from human powered boats that were moved by slave rowers, to wind powered sailboats that were powered by using the wind.

Steam power was developed around the beginning of the 18th century, beginning off the market revolution. Steam was produced from burning wood. Then coal was found to be the best resource to establish steam from water. Steam locomotives transportable Citizen from place to place and later moved across canals. Coal was used to heat buildings, because wood was often hard to get and handle. However, wood was used where it was available. These were places that trees needed to be cut down in order to cultivate more land.

Then someone realized that steam power was great than wind power to move boats. Steamboats were developed to go faster. They were used to go to more distant places than using wind power. The first automobiles also used wood to make steam to run the car. But, that formula was extremely difficult because it took a great deal of room for the primary wood and water to tour any distance.

In the late 1800's, the gasoline engine, which used oil products, was invented to power vehicles. The gasoline or internal combustion machine continues to be used today. Oil, its products and by-products, is being used to do all from heating homes, paving streets and producing products to run vehicles and airplanes.

The next energy invention was electricity. We now have galvanic lights to illuminate our homes and galvanic motors to power our appliances. Waterpower from hydroelectric dams is used to make that electricity. Environmentalists do not like the interruption or destruction of natural landscapes with dams and their huge concrete walls. Oil or coal is also used to make electricity where absorbing water in unavailable.

The point of this description is that, a new source of energy has to be found and developed. Over the centuries, civilizations did not stop searching for alternative energy sources. Yes, many places around the world have returned to wind power. There are designs to utilize water as a major power source, since most of the earth is water. Oceans do have tides and there are rivers in the oceans that continually move in a startling direction. I can't forget atomic energy, but many Citizen feel that the waste from atomic power is too dangerous. Solar power is used to generate electricity in some places, but that takes a huge amount of space for the needed reward.

We must all devote mental and explore to replacing oil power. The fact is that oil supplies are limited. The world is currently using up what oil exists. We are now trying to use plants (corn or saw grass) to replace oil (ethanol), but this is also is little by their other uses. Plants like saw grass also help furnish the clean air that we need to breathe. The other resources for this energy are food products that nourish millions and are feed for protein producing animals.

Some alternative source of power must be found. Since the oceans are worldwide source of power, and they are much larger than the world's landmasses, it seems most logical to resolve how we can use the many oceans and their movement as the main power generation vehicle to furnish the energy the world needs.
